Comments: Ronald Bailey is also rather good

Entertaining (as no doubt is his "Global Warming and Other Eco Myths"... how many more floods/droughts do we need to stop being in denial?!). One slight correction, however, Mr Bailey... "With regard to restaurants, the prices are amazingly moderate." Actually they're not, it's just that the exchange rate makes SA cheap for people from the North. For the natives, eating out has become bloody expensive! (A point of reference: in 1977 US$1 = SA77c; now US$1 = R10+)

The 1200 scientists of the International Panel on Climate Change, the Royal Society and 16 other European scientific academies plus the United State's National Academy of Science (in a White House commissioned report) have all said that "climate change is happening", "that the burning of fossil fuels is a leading cause" and that "...national policy decisions made now and in the longer-term future will influence the extent of any damage suffered by vulnerable human populations and ecosystems later in this century".
